Sunday, July 4, 2010
3:30-5:00 PM
Room 29

Moderator:  Hind Makki
Speakers:  Rabbi Jeremy Schneider, Brenda Rosenberg, Walter Ruby, Charles Cohen, Imam Abdullah El-Amin

This session reports on the progress of ISNA's partnership with the Union for Reform Judaism and how other Jewish denominations are getting involved with ISNA in promoting the Children of Abraham Initiative, which focuses on partnering mosques and synagogues throughout the country to study together the common principles of both faiths in the hope of encouraging understanding and acceptance of each other’s faith traditions.  Panelists will discuss these partnerships and talk of the challenges and the potential for building confidence and good will between the two communities.
